Noria and all historical shareholders sell a majority stake in Waga Energy to Swedish fund EQT as part of a tender offer

Noria sold its stake on this occasion, alongside the founders and the other historical shareholders (Starquest, Tertium, SWEN Impact Fund for Transition and ALIAD). Christophe Guillaume is stepping down from the Board of Directors. Noria invested in the company in 2019 and supported it through its various financing rounds, notably its IPO on Euronext Paris in October 2021.

Over this period, Waga Energy has become a leading producer of biomethane from landfill gas, thanks to its WAGABOX® technology. In 2025, the company operates 31 units in France, Spain, Canada and the United States, representing 1.5 TWh per year, with 19 more under construction. The founders are reinvesting a significant share of their proceeds alongside EQT, which will then file a simplified tender offer for the remaining share capital, with the intention of delisting the company.
